Macha Jewelry is a reasonably new discovery of mine, and admittedly one of them labels which I glanced at once or twice, liked, and then regrettably ignored for a more than appropriate amount of time. Note that the reason behind my ignorance towards the label was primarily due to the fact that I discovered the label around the same time I was starting college, and was therefore extremely muddled up with life in general, and what colour biro I should opt for in my first lesson. Would it be blue or black? Tough decision, I know.

A couple of weeks ago I welcomed Macha back into my life, and I feel much better for it. I came across a handful of look book images which summarised my personal taste when it comes to art-type photography, and since then the flame between me and my beloved Macha has been glowing strong. The look book images I came across were from the Macha for Marques´Almeida collection, which you may have guessed is a collaboration with up-and-coming London-based womenswear label Marques´Almeida, and denim lovers/designers, Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida. The images are grainy and the jewelry is simple. Keeping intact with the majority of pieces from Macha, all of the pieces in the Macha for Marques´Almeida collection are sterling silver, with the odd, unexpected incorporation of the rubber tube. In addition to the plain sterling silver pieces, we're also presented with an array of hand engraved bangles and shaped pendants.

I personally feel that if you're an individual who likes to make a statement through what jewelry she wears, then the Macha for Marques´Almeida collection might not be for you. But, if you're a girl who's a little crazy when it comes to your outfit choices, or are looking for something simple to grace your hand, wrist or neck during a formal outing, then you should definitely consider purchasing a piece or two (or three or four.)

Feel free to view and/or purchase the full collection here, and if you're up for it, read a little more about it here!
